Outage

It isn't uncommon to have short interruptions in power every now and then. If the power does go out, there is a phone number that you can call to report the outage. Quite often, the outage is being experienced by a large number of people and they will have a prerecorded message with an estimated time that they expect the power to be restored. You will need the customer account number when you phone in.

Generator

There is a generator in the outhouse that can be used for a small amount of basic power. Bring the generator outside and leave it near the back door. It must be run outside only. The generator will be full with straight gas, but it will only last a short while if it is running constantly. Once the generator starts, you can plug extension cords into it and then run the cords through the screen door and into the cottage where you can power a few lights, a fridge, or anything that will draw up to 15A.
